Hydrogen peroxide, depending on its concentration, is used in various sectors, ranging from beauty (to lighten hair, nails and teeth) to medical care (as a skin disinfectant, for example), to the decontamination of surfaces, water and air.
Pure hydrogen peroxide is a colourless, aqueous, corrosive liquid that gives off a characteristic pungent odour. For these reasons, it is never used pure but always in an aqueous solution. Commercially available products can be based on hydrogen peroxide mixed with water only (the ones we use) or with different catalysts (in some cases, however, the latter leave residues).
According to the harmonised classification and labelling (CLP00) approved by the European Union, this substance, depending on the concentration used, can be highly toxic to humans (if inhaled or ingested), can cause serious skin and eye injuries, is highly corrosive and can cause fires and explosions.
For all these reasons, this substance must be handled by experienced personnel, protected with certified PPE.
The products and hydrogen peroxide machines we offer for disinfecting environments are scientifically tested and certified. The hydrogen peroxide stabilized solutions we use have a H2O2 concentration of less than 8%, a quantity that guarantees total disinfection of the environment in a completely safety way.
